AmeriCorps Service Member Position – Recruitment at SMCOE

The San Mateo County Office of Education’s Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program (FYSCP) is excited to announce an AmeriCorps service member position for the 2021-22 school year!

Our program has an opening for an AmeriCorps service member to work closely with our team as a mentor to support foster youth and/or assist with projects designed to support foster youth. The term of service is August 2021 to July 2022, and we can be flexible regarding whether the AmeriCorps service member serves full-time, three quarter or part-time. There is a living allowance associated with this service opportunity as well as an educational award.

We especially encourage former or current foster youth and/or those interested in the field of social work to apply!

We request three things:

  1. Connect with those you think would be a great fit for this opportunity, share this information, and support them with the application process.
  2. Post this flyer with your other career opportunities.
  3. Promote this service position at your meetings or events.

We are happy to virtually meet with you to give you more information about our team and what we are looking for in an AmeriCorps service member. Please reply to this email with any questions or meeting requests!
